Snoop Dogg — world-famous hip hop mogul, marijuana aficionado, WWE hall-of-famer and youth football coach — paid Vancouver a visit Sunday and has made a video about part of it.
He flew up in the afternoon and played a late-night DJ set at Fortune Sound Club in Chinatown.
He posted a video to Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BEVK5ezP9D2/), apparently taken while driving to the show through a Downtown Eastside alley, in which he discovers Vancouver’s harm-reduction drug strategy up close.
NOTE: VIDEO HAS STRONG LANGUAGE
Snoop, who’s long made his love of marijuana a very public thing, has been hassled by Canadian customs officers in the past and implies it happened again on this visit.
“I can’t believe these m***** sweatin’ me at the f***** border and they got an alleyway where they pass out needles for people to do heroin at,” he exclaims in the video.
Despite any airport troubles he might have had, he posed with babies at YVR (https://www.instagram.com/p/BEWXe4USeU_/):
And the airport’s official Twitter account was loving it:
